Aug 8, 2016- All seven people, including a new-born, on board the Fishtail Air helicopter that crashed at Bhatine Danda in Nuwakot, are presumed dead, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (Caan) said.

The helicopter that took off from Gorkha was airlifting the new-born for a treatment in Kathmandu with her mother.

According to Devendra KC, spokesperson of the Caan, a Nepal Army team and other rescue officials have been deployed at the crash site. “Bad weather has been preventing the search operation. A NA helicopter will drop rescue officials at the site.”

The crash site is 5,500ft above the sea level. The 9N-AKA chopper had made last contact with air traffic control tower at 1:00pm. The helicopter was piloted by Capt Ranjan Limbu
